Abstrak

This study aimed to assess the effect of certification and motivation to work on teacher performance either directly or via a variable between job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Exogenous variable in this study is a certification and motivation, endogenous variables are teacher performance, and variables between (intervening variable) is job satisfaction and organizational commitment. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach. Research conducted at the high school / se-degrees in the of Kota Juang, Bireuen district.  The population in this study were 258 teachers certified of 5 high school / se-degrees in the Kota Juang, Bireuen district. Sampling totaling 160 subjects stratified sampling technique is done by proportional (stratified proportional random sampling). The analysis technique used is the technique above analysts track the resulting regression model. The results showed that: (1) Certification positive and significant impact on job satisfaction  (2) work motivation positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (3) The certification is not positive and significant effect on organizational commitment (4) work motivation positive and significant effect on organizational commitment (5) the certification of positive and significant effect on the performance of teachers (6) motivation to work is not positive and significant impact on teacher performance (7) job satisfaction positive and significant effect on the performance of teachers (8) organizational commitment is not positive and significant impact on teacher performance (9) job satisfaction is not positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. The government which in this case is the certification provider is advised to conduct a reevaluation of the certification implementation process in relation to whether the vision and mission of the certification program has been implemented and set forth in the process and the appropriate activities in the field so that what the organizers goals and objectives can be achieved And realized
